How to rework what already existed? In this workshop, we dove into slip casting with porcelain together with Octave. We learned how molds were made, used, and remixed into new sculptural or functional forms. Rather than starting from scratch, we sampled and reshaped leftovers: borrowing, cutting, shifting, combining. Casting became a remix: like loops in music or open-source code.

We explored porcelain’s flow, fragility, and strength, while reflecting on how open-source thinking in craft could open up more circular, connected ways of making.
